A few updates on changes made to specific schools before we provide a breakdown of the 6,015 total changes that were made during the February 2025 update.
- The University of Saint Katherine, an NAIA program in California, has been removed from our databases because the school has closed.
- Texas A&M-Commerce has rebranded. The Division I program is now East Texas A&M University.
- Next month, we’ll change the name of Union College in Kentucky to Union Commonwealth University. I just noticed that change yesterday as we were processing data.
- Saint Francis University will be moved from the Division I section of the database to the Division III section, as the school announced the move days after losing at the buzzer of a First Four NCAA tournament game. That move will be made next month. The University of Hartford made that move a few years ago.
The removal of Saint Katherine and Texas A&M-Commerce’s name change were among the 6,015 changes we made to our databases last month.
There were 2,465 people who were added to new programs in the February 2025 update. There were 2,138 people removed. There were 1,412 others who had at least one piece of information change as marked in the added column. Those changes include emails, phone numbers, jobs, names — or some combination of those four things.
